Welcome to the Marlborough Equestrian Center!
Offering a friendly, professional environment for the beginner to the accomplished rider!
MEC has been a working horse farm since the 1800's. Formerly known as the Marlborough Trotting Park, the farm operated as a training facility for Standardbred Race Horses and held Stake Races for the Massachusetts Sire Stakes. The 1/2 mile training track is still on the farm and is occasionally used for hacking.
The farm was purchased in 1983 by Bob and Pat Lupo. Bob trained and raced Standardbred race horses for many years and continues to breed race horses.
In 1989, the main barn was built with the indoor arena attached and hunters and huntseat instruction became the focus of the farm. Since 1989, MEC has been dedicated to bringing riding and the enjoyment of horses to all levels of riders. We pride ourselves on developing well-rounded, effective riders in a safe environment.
